Firewood Fridays

Firewood pick up season runs from November – March.  This is available to Cuba Township Residents.  Pick up time: 7:30AM – 2:30PM at the Road District Office.   If you are interested in this program, you must be registered.  Call Sue at 847-381-7793 to register.

Dates for 2025-2026 are as follows:

November 7th and 21st

December 5th and 19th

January 9th and 23rd

February 6th and 20th

March 6th and 20th

*NOTE:  Firewood hand out is subject to cancellation due to snow and ice weather conditions.

MULCH 

Self Serve mulch is near the textile box. Pull in where our salt is stored and look to your right (first come first serve basis).

Contact Sue at 847-381-7793 to order mulch  – We are starting to delivery mulch on March 21st, 2025.

Mulch is available for delivery to Cuba Township Residents ONLY for the delivery cost of $125.00 per truckload.  Each truckload of mulch is approximately 6-8 cubic yards.

The mulch is double-ground through our tub grinder and consists of both hardwood and softwood which is collected throughout the township and neighboring villages. The mulch is dark brown in color.

Deliveries are available on Fridays between 7:30am and 2:30pm (same day delivery is typically not available).

Brush Pick Up – Fall 2025 

Our fall Brush Pick Up is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 6, 2025.  We will pick up throughout the entire Township by routes – No need to call our offices with your address.

Please have your brush pile at the roadside by 7:00AM on Monday, October 6, 2025 to ensure your brush gets pick up.  We will not circle back once we have gone through the route.

Neatly stacked brush cannot be larger than 10′ X 4′ and no logs or branches larger than 8″ diameter.  No leaves, grass, weeds, root balls or nothing in plastic or paper bags can be picked up.  One brush pile per address.  Thank  you!

  • We do not pick up on IDOT roads (Rt 59, Rt 22 and Rt 14)
  • We do not pick up on Lake County Roads (Roberts, Miller, Kelsey and River)
